As members of the Asahi Ward Toilet Beautification Committee, we received an award at the fourth Japan Toilet and People Awards. We were also honored to receive the runner-up grand prize.
Since February 2017, the Asahi Ward Toilet Beautification Committee has organized occasional public toilet cleaning activities with local residents. The goal is to create a community where people do not face toilet difficulties when going out. When public toilets are dirty, not everyone can use them with confidence. People who wear diapers, in particular, may have to change them in those dirty toilets.
Members meet repeatedly to discuss how to make the community easier to navigate without toilet difficulties, developing and carrying out new projects.
We have also created toilet maps and held toilet-themed games.
We will continue enjoying our activities together.
