On 7 February 2025, we held an online event leading up to O-MU-TSU WORLD EXPO at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.

The theme was “Virtual Technology × Accessibility × Diapers: Considering the Future of Accessibility.”

Speakers were Kumiko Kushiyama of Tokyo Metropolitan University; Yuriko Oda, Representative Director of WheeLog! (NPO); and our representative, Hiroshi Yagi.

From the three perspectives of virtual technology, accessibility and diapers, we discussed a future in which more people can take part in outings, events and social activities, regardless of their physical circumstances.

We also introduced the aims of O-MU-TSU WORLD EXPO and the relationship between diapers and accessibility. The event offered an opportunity to share the importance of supporting activity and social participation through appropriate environments, information and equipment, so that using diapers need not mean giving up participation.

Our representative, Hiroshi Yagi, spoke as Deputy Representative Director of the Japan Welfare and Medical Fashion Association and administrator of Omutsu Johokyoku (Adult Diaper Information Center Japan).

We sincerely thank our speakers and everyone who participated.
