Hiroshi Yagi, representative of OMUTSU Delivery and a physical therapist, served as a lecturer at the 10th Online Seminar on Continence Rehabilitation for Therapists, organized by the Japan Continence Action Society and held online on Saturday, 3 October and Sunday, 4 October 2026.
This training seminar for physical and occupational therapists covered responses to bladder and bowel dysfunction, rehabilitation, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
On the second day, Sunday, 4 October, Yagi delivered the lecture “Creating a Supportive Toileting Environment (Assistive Equipment): Using Pads and Diapers.” He discussed treating pads and diapers as assistive equipment that supports toileting and using them in ways suited to each person’s physical condition and daily life.
Continence care is an important part of supporting everyday life and activity. We hope this lecture will help the participating therapists in their clinical practice.
Thank you to everyone who attended, and to the Japan Continence Action Society for this valuable opportunity to speak.
