On May 22, 2025, Hiroshi Yagi of Omutsu Johokyoku (Adult Diaper Information Center Japan) spoke at an online seminar hosted by POST, the rehabilitation media platform operated by Medical Agency Co., Ltd.

The seminar was titled “A New Approach to Community Rehabilitation: Future Strategies Connecting Rehabilitation and Community Revitalization” (シン・地域リハビリテーション学｜リハビリ×地域活性の未来戦略).

Addressing rehabilitation professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech-language-hearing therapists, he discussed ways to apply experience as a physical therapist to local activities and community development.

Alongside sharing information on adult diapers, Yagi has worked on community initiatives aimed at creating places where people do not struggle to find a suitable toilet when they go out.

He shared his practical experience, including the Asahi Ward Toilet Beautification Committee’s journey to the runner-up grand prize in the Japan Toilet and People Awards, independently organized online events, collaboration with local government, and the challenge of participating in Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.

The seminar offered an opportunity to explain to rehabilitation professionals how Yagi has connected his physical therapy experience and work involving diapers, toilets and support for outings to community development.
