On June 16, 2023, Omutsu Johokyoku (Adult Diaper Information Center Japan) welcomed physiotherapist Rika Hamada for an online event, “Urinary Incontinence Prevention Classes in the Community.”

As a physiotherapist, continence function instructor and frailty prevention promotion manager, Hamada works on urinary incontinence prevention and lower urinary tract function.

Drawing on practical experience, she explained approaches to organizing community classes and activities that communicate urinary incontinence prevention to local residents.

The session deepened our understanding of prevention activities in the community and provided a valuable learning opportunity.
