On 2 May 2024, Hiroshi Yagi’s activities were featured in TV Osaka’s news report “Overturning the Assumption That Diapers Are White: The Adult Diaper Revolution!”

The feature introduces the Japan Welfare and Medical Fashion Association’s work toward holding a diaper collection at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.

While selling and delivering adult diapers as representative of OMUTSU Delivery, Yagi also plans and holds study sessions for healthcare and care professionals through Omutsu Johokyoku (Adult Diaper Information Center Japan).

The program also introduced how he spent approximately a year testing manufacturers’ products by using them himself to understand their features, and how around 100 healthcare and care professionals attend each study session.

He also discussed the possibility that generations accustomed to white underwear and those familiar with colorful or patterned underwear may want different diaper designs. We believe future adult diapers need to offer choices of color and pattern as well as function.

It has now been officially decided that the diaper collection will be held at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.

As Deputy Representative Director of the Japan Welfare and Medical Fashion Association, Yagi is involved in planning and operations for the 2025 event.

Working with many companies and people involved, we hope to broaden existing perceptions of adult diapers and propose new possibilities.
