On February 19, 2026, we welcomed Professor Rika Imanishi (今西里佳) of the Department of Occupational Therapy, Faculty of Rehabilitation, Niigata University of Health and Welfare, for a special online event on “Improving Toileting Environments from an OT Perspective.”

Professor Imanishi discussed approaches to arranging toileting environments from an occupational therapist’s perspective, offering practical viewpoints and ideas for use in care settings.

Since first meeting Professor Imanishi around ten years ago, we have benefited from many opportunities to learn and grow. This time, we were able to welcome her as a guest of Omutsu Johokyoku (Adult Diaper Information Center Japan) and create an opportunity to learn together with more than 260 participants.

Thank you to Professor Imanishi and everyone who attended.
