On April 10, 2025, we held the in-person event “Bodily Waste Holds Possibilities and Ideas! Our Challenge at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan” at QUINTBRIDGE in Miyakojima Ward, Osaka City.

The event was organized by the Japan Welfare & Medical Fashion Association and co-hosted with QUINTBRIDGE.

Ahead of O-MU-TSU WORLD EXPO at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, we broadened our focus beyond diapers to explore the possibilities of bodily waste and new ideas together with participants.

Although elimination is essential to everyday life, it is often treated as taboo. At the same time, it has the potential to connect a wide range of fields, including welfare, healthcare, the environment and business.

Speakers were Kei Hirabayashi, representative director of the Japan Welfare & Medical Fashion Association, and our representative, Hiroshi Yagi, in his capacity as the association’s vice representative director. They exchanged ideas with participants about looking at elimination from new perspectives and the possibilities this could create for future society.

Thank you to everyone who attended and everyone who helped make the event possible.
