On July 26, 2023, Omutsu Johokyoku (Adult Diaper Information Center Japan) welcomed speech-language-hearing therapist Kohei Takada (高田耕平) for an online seminar, “Expanding What People Can Eat: Swallowing and Food Textures.”

Mr. Takada is a speech-language-hearing therapist, eating support researcher and representative of Hanasu Taberu Kurasu-sha (はなすたべるくらす舎). After working in hospitals, he has been supporting speaking and eating for people living at home and in facilities for older people.

The seminar explored the relationship between swallowing and food textures, discussing approaches to meals based on people’s eating abilities and living circumstances.

Thank you to Mr. Takada and everyone who attended.
