[Special Event Announcement] Imagining the Future of Diapers with Yoshimi Ui of aba and Helppad

On March 6, 2023, Omutsu Johokyoku (Adult Diaper Information Center Japan) will host a special online event with Yoshimi Ui (宇井吉美), representative director of aba Inc., titled “Updating Continence Care with Helppad: Imagining the Future of Diapers with Ms. Ui.”

Based on input from care settings, aba develops Helppad, a sensor that detects elimination through odor. Rather than attaching a device to the body, the system uses a sensor installed in the bed to detect elimination and notify caregivers.

In this event, Ms. Ui will discuss the background to Helppad’s development and its use in care settings. Together with participants, we will imagine the future of diapers and the support that may become possible by combining elimination detection technology with adult disposable diapers.
