[Online Seminar] Positioning basics with occupational therapist Kazuhiko Yamaguchi

On 24 February 2023, Omutsu Johokyoku (Adult Diaper Information Center Japan) welcomed occupational therapist Kazuhiko Yamaguchi for our eighth online ShareComi session, “Positioning Basics: Preventing Secondary Impairments Caused by Poor Posture.”

The session introduced basic approaches to positioning in bed and sitting, and key points for preventing secondary impairments resulting from poor posture.

The posture of a person who needs care affects not only comfort in daily life, but also methods of assistance, including diaper changes. Through Yamaguchi’s presentation, we learned the importance of assessing the body’s condition while adjusting posture and the surrounding environment.
