Our representative, Hiroshi Yagi, wrote a five-part series on continence care and adult diapers for the Green Care Forum official website, operated by Japan Care Supply Co., Ltd.

Beginning with support for independence in toileting, the series explains the construction and functions of adult diapers, product selection according to living environments, and environmental adjustments involving assistive products and home modifications.

Series contents

Part 1: Supporting Independence in Toileting

Part 2: Diapers as Assistive Products Supporting Independence

Part 3: Diaper Construction and Functions

Part 4: Environmental Adjustments Related to Toileting

Part 5: Considering the Basics of Diaper Selection and Support for Toileting Independence through Case Studies

Adult diapers should not be selected solely on the basis of physical condition or the volume of elimination. It is important to consider suitable types and methods of use while also checking the person’s daily movements, assistance arrangements and home environment.

Drawing on a physical therapist’s perspective and experience gained through adult diaper sales, selection support and study sessions, Yagi used specific examples and illustrations to explain these subjects.
