Our representative, Hiroshi Yagi, appeared in “Continence Care That Home-Visit Physicians Should Know,” a special feature from Peer Study Home Healthcare College, where professionals from different disciplines learn about home healthcare through video.
The feature brought together four speakers—a physician, a nurse, an assistive product planner and a physical therapist—to share perspectives on continence care from their respective specialties.
In a cross-talk session on “Why Should Physicians Know about Continence Care?”, they exchanged views on skin problems, diaper selection, assistive products and examples of practice in home settings.

Hiroshi Yagi spoke on “Diapers as Assistive Products Supporting Independence,” discussing not only how to choose diapers, but also their role in enabling outings and social participation.
Diapers do more than receive bodily waste. Depending on how they are selected and used, they become assistive products that support a person’s life and activities. He shared this perspective with physicians working in home-visit care.
