On August 3, 2025, a message of support from our representative, Hiroshi Yagi, appeared in an activity update for nonprofit WheeLog!’s crowdfunding campaign, “Creating a World Where Wheelchair Users Never Have to Give Up! WheeLog! 2025.”
Yagi contributed the message as Deputy Representative Director of the Japan Welfare and Medical Fashion Association and administrator of Omutsu Johokyoku (Adult Diaper Information Center Japan).
He works toward communities where everyone, including adult diaper users, can go out without difficulties using toilets.
His connection with WheeLog! began with a city walk event in 2018. Learning about its app, through which wheelchair users and others share accessibility information about places they have actually visited, showed him that WheeLog! is a platform connecting people, not simply collecting information.
He later worked with WheeLog! members toward introducing mobile floor hoists at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
Some people cannot transfer onto a bed independently to change their adult diapers while out, even when a bed is provided. Supporting their outings requires access to a care hoist as well as a bed.
In his message, Yagi expressed his appreciation of WheeLog! Representative Director Yuriko Oda’s ability to take action, and his hopes for its work sharing accessibility information through the app.
We support WheeLog!’s efforts toward a society where everyone can go out with confidence.
