Our online seminar with Hiroko (米谷弘子) and Masako Umehara explored the activities of the Osaka Senshu Continence Improvement Group.

On August 23, 2023, Omutsu Johokyoku (Adult Diaper Information Center Japan) welcomed the group’s Hiroko (米谷弘子) and Masako Umehara for “Enjoying a Continence Care Community: Through the Activities of the Osaka Senshu Continence Improvement Group.”

The main speaker was Hiroko (米谷弘子), a physiotherapist at the 米谷暮らし研究所 practice and the group’s deputy leader. Masako Umehara, a urologist and the group’s leader, joined as a commentator.

The Osaka Senshu Continence Improvement Group brings together healthcare and care professionals and others interested in continence care to learn across professional boundaries. The seminar introduced its activities and the enjoyment of participating and learning in a community.

Hiroshi Yagi, administrator of Omutsu Johokyoku, first joined the group in 2016. Gathering the courage to inquire about participating and being warmly welcomed by its members helped lead to his subsequent activities.
