On May 27, 2024, we welcomed Mr. Sugiyama (杉山旬) of Grundtvig Co., Ltd. for an International Diaper Study Group session, “Hearing in English about Experiences at a Danish Folk High School.”

Sugiyama works in human resources and recruitment at Grundtvig and is a co-representative of IFAS. Drawing on his experience at a Danish folk high school, an adult education institution, he works on creating learning environments and educational activities.

During the session, he spoke in English about life in Denmark, learning at a folk high school, and the education and culture he encountered there.

The entire session was conducted in English. Participants shared their own opinions in English and exchanged ideas with him. With capacity limited to three, it offered a small, dialogue-centered learning environment.
