On February 26, 2024, Omutsu Johokyoku (Adult Diaper Information Center Japan) welcomed Bell Praepan Chanphithak, who works in care under Japan’s Specified Skilled Worker status, for a Share-Comi session on “The Appeal of Care in Japan as Experienced by Someone from Thailand.”
Bell spoke widely about Thai culture, daily life and care. Drawing on personal experience working in care in Japan, Bell also introduced the strengths of Japanese care from an individual perspective.
Hearing directly from someone who came to Japan from overseas offered an opportunity to look again at the strengths of Japanese care while learning about the appeal of Thailand.
The discussion also touched on diapers, making it an interesting time to consider differences between Thailand and Japan.
Thank you to Bell Praepan Chanphithak for speaking and to everyone who attended.
