On October 6, 2022, Omutsu Johokyoku (Adult Diaper Information Center Japan) welcomed Fumie Sato of Kichitto Ltd. for its sixth special online event, “Thinking about ACP through Continence Care.”

Alongside running a home care support service, Sato leads the Continence Salon, a community mutual support initiative providing continence-related consultation and opportunities for people to help one another locally.

ACP (advance care planning) involves repeatedly discussing and sharing what matters to a person and the healthcare and care they would want in the future with family, trusted people and healthcare and care professionals.

Starting with continence care, an essential part of daily life, the event explored the relationship between ACP and considering how a person wants to live and the support they want.

Thank you to Ms. Sato and everyone who attended.
