On January 11, 2024, Omutsu Johokyoku (Adult Diaper Information Center Japan) welcomed Yoko Okuda for an online seminar, “Continence Care Begins with Dialogue.”

Okuda works on community healthcare and creating opportunities for dialogue as representative of the Kwansei Gakuin Healthcare Curator Practice Group and chairperson of the nonprofit Association for Developing Community Healthcare in Ikoma. She also studied at Denmark’s Kalø Højskole and completed the program at Kwansei Gakuin University’s Institute of Business and Accounting.

In this seminar, she discussed dialogue as a means of understanding another person’s views and life, and considering necessary support together.

When selecting adult diapers, it is important to understand living environments and difficulties through dialogue with users and those supporting them, rather than judging only by product type or absorbency.

Thank you to Yoko Okuda for speaking and to everyone who attended.
